Ryan and Sheer
What:
A proposed year-long sabbatical from the working world in order to enrich ourselves through language-learning, cultural exchange and interaction with the diverse natural environments, communities, individuals, ideas and furry animals we will encounter.
When:
Our trip began on July 28, 2010.
Where:
We've marked some places that we call hard dots: Guatemala, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Israel and Ethiopia. By adding other dots on the fly and connecting them all, we hope to keep a good balance between the prudence of planning and the fun and freedom of spontaneity.
Why:
The wish for a trip like this has been alive in us both, independently, for many moons. When we met, one of the greatest things that drew us together was our shared interest in learning about and loving this world by experiencing it. Our goals for this year are huge, colorful and attainable. We are full of passion and hope for adventure and growth!
